Your hydria kit comes with two types of fountainhead (sprinkler and cascade) and two extra tubes for changing the height. We recommend using the cascade head for interior use or where you have windy conditions to avoid water spraying outside the water reservoir. In all cases adjust the flow rate to keep water from spraying outside your water reservoir.

You could use glass pebbles, river stones, sea shells - the possibilities are endless! Avoid using decorations that will fall through the decorative plate or that are likely to erode under the water flow and create sediment that will damage the water pump.
Do not plant on the decorative plate because sediment / soil may damage the water pump.

As with all fountains, cross winds will drive water away from the fountain causing water levels to drop. So ideally do not use in windy weather but if you do wish to use hydria we recommend reducing the power or swap to the cascade fountainhead.

Clean your hydria, including the water pump, at least once every month. To clean, drain your water pool and scrub the water pool and decorative tray thoroughly with warm water and mild detergent. This is also a convenient time to charge your hydria.
We recommend changing/cleaning the filter when you clean / re-charge your fountain.
We recommend changing the water every time you go to recharge the pump, or at least once every couple months. If you use your fountain intermittently, we recommend not leaving your water stagnant for prolonged periods.
Unless you glue down your decorations some disruption is likely, although Hydria is designed so any decorations you have placed on the display plate do not need to be removed to access the fountain pump inside. Simply use the finger grip holes around the edge to gently lift off the plate and place on a flat surface whilst you clean the bowl and the hydria smart fountain inside.
Do not plant on the decorative plate because sediment / soil may damage the water pump.

The risk of Legionnaires' Disease associated with Hydria water features is inherently low. Legionnaires' Disease is primarily linked to larger, complex water systems often found in commercial buildings. Hydria, designed for home and garden use, is straightforward to maintain. To further minimize any potential risk, we recommend following our provided cleaning and maintenance instructions. By adhering to these guidelines, you can confidently enjoy your Hydria fountain while taking proactive measures to prevent Legionnaires' Disease. Your health and safety are of paramount importance to us, and we're here to support you in maintaining a safe and enjoyable water feature experience.
A few quick checks can be done to resolve this:
Ensure your hydria is filled with water to 12 mm (½ inch) below the rim
Tilt the hydria pump in the water to release any trapped air
Check your fountainhead, nozzle and connecting tubes for obstructions/blockage
Locate and clean your hydria pump filter.
It may be that you need to reduce the power - adjust flow settings on your remote so the spray falls inside your bowl.
You may need to clean the metal contact points on both the power lead and hydria to ensure good contact. Charging with dirty contact points can damage your hydria or charger.
If your hydria is left outside during freezing winter conditions, the battery might be damaged and will need replacing. Order a replacement here. We recommend watching this troubleshooting video guide to help you best identify which part needs replacing.
A working remote will maintain a constant red light when the power button is held. If the red light on your remote does not shine, is dull or is flickering when you press the power button, change the battery.
If your remote is working (you see a constant red light when the power button is held), you likely need to pair your remote to your fountain. See how to pair here
If your remote has suffered weather or water damage, it will not function. You can order a replacement here
If you notice that the LED lights on your Hydria are flashing red intermittently, it's an indicator that the battery is running low and needs to be recharged. This flashing red light serves as a helpful reminder to recharge your Hydria. Simply remove the pump unit from the water reservoir, connect to the charger and allow the battery to charge fully. This can take up to 8 hours. Once the battery is fully charged, the LED lights will turn green.
A noisy pump could indicate air in the system. Ensure the hydria pump unit is fully submerged in water, and tilt the submersed pump to release trapped air.
Submerge the hydria pump unit in water and run on high for several minutes to clear any trapped air.
It is possible you have pressed one of the ‘timer’ buttons which is causing the Hydria to turn off after 1, 2, or 3 hours of use.
Recharge your hydria if your battery is low. The LEDs will flash red every 30 seconds if the battery is low.
